SOMALIA-CIVIL WAR-BARRE A rebel militiaman belonging to the Somali National Movement, fighting the regime of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, points his gun towards the broken portrait of president Barre near the town of Zeila, northern Somalia in October 1989.
