✅ Life Conduct of Imam al-Sadiq (s.a) toward Talebearers 🔶 A person went to Imam al-Sadiq (a) and said, 🍃 “O Son of the Prophet (a)! I heard that your cousin insulted and slandered you.” 🌼 When he finished his talk, Imam al-Sadiq (a) began performing prayer. That talebearer thought that Imam (a) would curse his cousin in the prayer; but, contrary to his expectation, after Imam (a) finished the prayer, supplicated to God, “O My Lord! I forgave him; and Your generosity is greater than mine; so, forgive him and do not punish him for this action of his.” 🍃 By hearing this supplication, that talebearer got up in shame and went. 🌸 This is among the conducts of the Ahl al-Bayt (a) of the honorable Prophet (a) toward their enemies. 🔴 Manner and Beautiful Reply to A Man’s Insult 🍃 One of the relatives of Imam al-Sajjad (a) stood against him and insulted him. 🌸 Imam al-Sajjad (a) stood silent and did not reply. After that man went, Imam (a) told the people there, “You heard what he said, now you come with me to hear my reply.” 🔶 They said, “we’ll come [with you]! We also would like to reply to him.” They went to the house of the insulter all together. Imam (a) told the servant of the house, ▫️ “Tell your master that Ali b. al-Husayn (a) is standing at the door.” The insulter came out ready to attack while he expected Imam’s (a) revenge. 🌼 But, Imam al-Sajjad (a) mildly said, 🌸 “O brother! ✅ Signs of the twelve Imams or the vicegerents of God and foretelling the future and speaking in all languages! 🔶 Abu Basir asked Imam Musa ibn Ja’far (a): “By which signs is the Imam known?” 🌸 The Imam (a) said: “The true Imam has some attributes, the first and most important of which is that he should be introduced by his pervious Imam. As the Prophet (s) introduced Ali ibn Abi Talib (a), every Imam must be introduced by the previous Imam.” Another sign is that he should be able to answer whatever is asked from him and should not be unaware of anything. The other sign is that he should never be silent in defense of the truth, should be able to foretell the future and speak in all languages.” 🌼 Then, the Imam (a) said: “Now I show you a sign to reassure your heart”. 🔶 Meanwhile, a Khorasani man entered and began to speak in Arabic, but Imam (a) replied in Persian. The man said: “I thought you did not understand Persian.” 🍃The Imam (a) said: “Glory be to God! If I cannot answer you in your own language, then what merit would I have over you?” 🌸 Then, Imam (a) said: “The Imam is he, from whom no one’s word is hidden. He understands the words of every person and every living being. Suddenly, a deer came to Imam from the desert and knocked his hands, feet, and tail to the ground, making a noise, as if moaning. Some said, “O son of the Messenger of God! What does this female deer say?” 🔶 My father said: “Her complaint is that a Qurayshi man caught her baby yesterday and it has not drunk milk since then. She requests us to take her baby from the hunter and bring it to her so that she can breastfeed it”. 🌼 One of the people there doubted about this word of my father, and Imam became aware of it through his God-given knowledge of Imamate.
