📣 Gulf Cooperation Council States Should Be Held Accountable for Any Participation in the Military Aggression Against Iran
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson:
🔸 The commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) explicitly named five Gulf Cooperation Council member states, along with Jordan, and stated that they participated in the U.S. military aggression against Iran. If this American claim is false, the governments concerned should officially and unequivocally deny it.
🔸 Under such circumstances, when Iran, in accordance with its inherent and lawful right of self-defense, targets U.S. military bases and logistical assets located in those countries, asking, "Why did Iran do this?" has no legal or logical basis.
🔸 We should not forget that the primary source of insecurity and conflict in the region is the military aggression carried out by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran. Any participation in that aggression—including by facilitating military operations—constitutes an act of aggression under UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 and violates the principle of good neighborliness as well as Article 2(4) of the UN Charter.
🔸 Iran's defense of itself is aimed at restoring security and stability for the entire region.

📣 Associated Press: Iran's Ability to Close the Strait of Hormuz Gives It Extraordinary Leverage
🔸 Iran's ability to effectively close the Strait of Hormuz—and thereby trigger economic disruption far beyond the Middle East—provides the country with significant bargaining power and extraordinary leverage in any negotiations.
🔸 Iran's Yemeni allies further strengthened that leverage on Thursday by targeting two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, increasing the risks to shipping along another vital Middle Eastern oil route.

📣 British Analyst: Iran Can Still Keep the Strait of Hormuz Dangerous for the United States
🔸 Mike Clarke: The United States is trying to curb Iran's ability to launch ballistic and cruise missiles at ships in the Strait of Hormuz, but doing so is "extremely difficult."
🔸 Most ballistic missile launchers are mobile, and Iran's geography presents another major challenge to U.S. military operations.
🔸 A vehicle emerges from its hiding place, launches its drones, then moves away and disappears again.
🔸 The United States can continue targeting Iran's ammunition storage sites, but doing so will not fundamentally change the strategic equation.
