Event Report: 28 March 2025 Like every year, the AL-QUDS DAY in QOM, Iran was simply outstanding and energizing. This year, the al-Quds Day had a renewed zeal and countless people poured out on the Shuhada Ave. 🗣 Believing men, women, youth, and children marched from the Haram of Sayyida Ma'sumah (A) towards the Musallah al-Quds. Many babies participated in their prams, strollers, and even pouches. Kudos to their parents! For as far as one could see, it was an ocean of justice-seeking and insightful believers expressing their solidarity with the oppressed nation of Palestine 🇵🇸. Many elderly were witnessed on wheelchairs and even crutches. 👨‍🦽👨‍🦯 Subhan-Allah. The rally concluded with Friday prayers at Musallah al-Quds. 🚶‍♂️Third year in a row, the English speaking International Students of Qom (SoQ) came together to form a rally of their own and marched from the SoQ Cultural Center towards the Main Rally and joined it on the Shuhada Ave. A big al-Quds Day Banner and placards in English were designed, printed, and prepared by our volunteers, especially for the al-Quds Day Rally. The participants carried the banner and placards throughout the rally and chanted slogans in English, Farsi, and Arabic. ✊ 👌 The local Iranian population welcomed this strong and noticeable presence of the non-Iranians in the rally. Countless people expressed their gratitude towards the international students' participation in the al-Quds Day rally. 💐 We would like to thank each and every one of you who participated in this rally with SoQ volunteer families. We were joined by a diverse crowd of English speaking students and scholars along with their families from Nigeria, Philippines, Ireland, Australia, US, UK, France, Lebanon, Kashmir, Dubai, Tanzania, Pakistan, India and English-speaking Iranians. We thank the teachers of the university of Tehran and Savior school (Qom) and their students for their participation in this year's rally alongside SoQ families. Thank you for showing the strength and unity. And Jazak-Allah for continuously shouting the slogans while you were in the state of fasting. May Allah (swt) accept your fasting and your I'badaat. May Allah free Palestine from the clutches of the Zionist regime. Dear believers, Salāmun Alaykum: Congratulations on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr. May Allah accept your fasting and your acts of worship. At SoQ, we had 6 programs in English during this holy month of Ramadān. In addition, we arranged an Al-Quds Day Rally (from SoQ center to the Main Rally) and a lock-in night at SoQ center (for SoQ volunteer families and their friends). Thank you to all of you who participated in these programs on regular basis. We know that it is not easy to get up closer to the Iftār time and go participate in a program. May Allah accept your and your family's attendance and support. We would like to thank our Qurān reciters for each program. May Allah bless you all and accept your beautiful and powerful recitations. Thank you to our youth for writing and reciting the poetry. We thank our volunteers for preparing and distributing the goodie bags on the Wiladah of Imam Hasan (A). Thank you and Jazāk-Allah to the brothers who arranged for and recited Noha/Matam on the Shahadah of Imam Ali (A) & Hz. Khadija (A). May Allah accept the efforts of our emcee who made sure that each program runs smoothly and that you get those important inserts, updates, and announcements throughout. We thank our media team which live streamed, recorded, edited, and uploaded these programs on www.studentsofqom.org. We thank our kids in Salāt team who made all the on-time arrangements. We thank our kids activity team who performed unique and creative activities for the kids. We thank our attendees, volunteers, and cleaning team for maintaining the facility. We would like to thank all of the esteemed scholars who graciously accepted our invitation to come and speak to the community of ideological believers. The insightful speeches provided us all with an opportunity to contemplate, introspect, reflect, and feel compelled to act and make revolutionary ammends in our thoughts and habits. The speeches were not only academic, intellectual, and spiritual in nature but they also highlighted the socio-political dimension of Islam and shed light on the plight of the Muslim Ummah. Once again, may Allah bless our guest speakers for this year, Insha-Allah.
