When, deep down, you know someone isn't right for you, don't try to justify it by telling yourself, "They're actually a good person." If people want to respond to you, they will; if you don't matter to them, it simply means they don't want to. If they treat you poorly, it means they don't want you. You might be able to convince yourself otherwise, but you cannot convince others.
