#IranInReality Yalda night ceremony is one of the oldest Iranian traditions in which the sunrise after the longest night of the year is celebrated as a symbol for victory of light over darkness. Yalda starts from sunset of the last day of autumn, until sunrise of the next day. On this night, family members sit around a table of special fruits & nuts, each having a symbolic meaning & read poems of Hafiz.
